Something sweet and nutty opens this before the white tobacco base ever shows up: almond, black currant and davana, all soft edges and no sharp citrus anywhere in sight. Davana adds a faintly fruity, almost wine-like shimmer under the almond, giving the opening more depth than a simple almond-vanilla pairing would have. Osmanthus, vanilla, magnolia and jasmine crowd into the heart next, thick and a little lactonic, like almond milk poured over white flowers.
What holds it back a little is contrast: white tobacco and cade oil promise a dry, rougher edge that never fully arrives once the almond and vanilla take over, so the composition stays sweeter and softer for longer than the base notes suggest. Anyone wanting real dryness or grit from the tobacco and cade oil will come away a little disappointed, though anyone happy with a fully sweet, nutty gourmand will not miss it at all.
It carries a warm, close-range charm and settles in for the long haul once it's on, and the season data is broad, strong through spring and summer especially, with winter trailing well behind. It plays almost entirely as a daytime scent, given how far the day side outruns the night one.
