Peach and apricot open Red Jeans in a rush, fuzzy stone fruit laid over black currant and freesia, the whole opening built for warm weather and casual wear rather than for making a statement. Versace released it during the nineties fruity-floral boom, and it still smells exactly like what that means: bright, uncomplicated, a little nostalgic. Staying power is average, present for a normal afternoon out without needing much thought, and the sillage forms a small halo, picked up mainly by whoever is close enough to notice.
The heart brings on a crowd of pale flowers, rose, violet, lily of the valley and water lily among them, none pushing hard enough to dominate the others. The effect is soft and slightly powdery, water lily giving it a clean, dewy edge that balances the sweetness of the fruit underneath.
Musk, vanilla and sandalwood settle in for the drydown, and the base stays gentle throughout, sandalwood adding a light creaminess without turning heavy or dense.
