Santal Galore
Fragrance notes
Character
Santal Galore opens with sandalwood placed next to durian. The fruit adds a dense, savory weight that pushes the wood into an earthy direction immediately. It is not a bright or fresh start. The sandalwood here feels thick and creamy rather than dry or polished.
In the heart, smoke and Turkish rose join the sandalwood. Rose water and jasmine soften the smoke, while osmanthus adds a gentle apricot-like fruitiness that bridges the opening durian to the floral core. The smoke lingers through this stage and keeps the flowers from feeling light. Cloves and cassia in the base bring a warm spice that sits close to the skin and moves with the sandalwood as it deepens. Oakmoss adds a green, slightly damp texture, and tonka bean rounds the spice with a smooth sweetness. Natural musk supports the entire structure from underneath.
The sandalwood remains present through every stage and carries the other notes with it for an extended period. The scent stays near the body and does not expand outward across a large space. It suits cooler weather and evening wear. The overall impression is woody, powdery, and smoky, with a mossy, musky base built around sandalwood.
