Our take

Mint and green lilac hit first in L'Eau par Kenzo, cold and slightly sharp, like biting into a green stem before any sweetness arrives, and the wear itself stays just as light: the longevity is moderate and the sillage is noticed within arm's reach. Pink pepper and mandarin orange keep the top bright without turning it fully citrus, and by the time water lily and white peach settle in, the fragrance has gone from bracing to soft, an aquatic floral built by Olivier Cresp that never quite decides which side it favors more.

Rose and amaryllis add a touch of powder to the heart, and violet gives it a slightly cool, retro edge that plays against the softness of the peach and water lily. Cedar, white musk and vanilla close things out gently, low and warm enough to round off the green sharpness without erasing it.

It's built for warm weather and daytime wear, at its best in summer when the green and citrus notes have somewhere to go. This works well for anyone who wants a fresh, aquatic floral that leans clean rather than sweet; anyone craving a bolder floral will find Kenzo's denser scents a better match.
