Plum and grapefruit burst out first, bright and tart, but saffron and coconut immediately pull the scent toward something rounded and dense. The first few minutes feel like a contradiction, with citrus sharpness cutting through a creamy backdrop. This tension is the point. Philippine Courtière built a composition that holds two opposing moods at once, and the saffron acts as the bridge that keeps the fruit from becoming a simple summer splash.
The heart deepens that argument with caramel and rose, layering a sticky sweetness against the dry bite of cinnamon and neroli. It smells like standing near a wood-fired oven where someone is roasting spiced apples and burning sugar. The jasmine adds a faint floral lift, but the caramel and orris root ensure the scent stays grounded in warmth.
