Nefertem
Fragrance notes
Character
Nefertem opens with pear blossom, magnolia, blackberry, rhubarb and truffle. The fruit feels bright and slightly tart, while the truffle adds a quiet earthiness that keeps the start from leaning fully sweet. Peony, jasmine tea and violet leaf follow in the heart. The tea note brings a clean, slightly steeped character that softens the florals, and the violet leaf adds a green edge that keeps the middle from turning heavy. Heliotrope, vanilla orchid and guaiac wood form the base. The heliotrope and vanilla orchid give a powdery, gently sweet finish, while the guaiac wood adds a dry, faintly resinous line that grounds the blend.
The overall impression is floral, fruity, fresh, green, powdery and sweet in balanced measure. It feels light on the skin during a warm afternoon outdoors, when the air is mild and the light is clear. The composition stays smooth throughout, with no sharp turns or sudden shifts between stages. The jasmine tea and rhubarb keep the sweetness in check, and the truffle prevents the fruit from reading too simple. The one limitation is that the notes sometimes blend so evenly that no single element stands out clearly. The pear blossom and blackberry can recede behind the peony and heliotrope, leaving the fragrance pleasant but a little indistinct.
