Our take

Crazy Tropic opens like a fruit salad left to sweat in the sun – mango and passionfruit spearing through pineapple and pitahaya, all sticky and bright, with a praline sweetness that feels less gourmand and more like the sugar glaze on a cheap lollipop. Freesia and black currant try to pull it toward floral freshness, but the fruit basket wins, piling on strawberry and peach until the whole thing collapses into a soft, musky puddle. The dry down is a whisper of vanilla-tinged fuzz, if you press your nose to your wrist within the first hour.

This is a scent with no ambition to linger. Longevity clocks in at a measly two out of five, sillage barely a tick higher, which means you’ll need to bathe in it for anyone to notice. It feels synthetic in a cheerful, drugstore way – perfectly mainstream, perfectly forgettable. Best reserved for blazing summer days when you want a quick hit of tropical juice without asking for commitment. Wear it to the beach, to a poolside brunch, or to any situation where reapplying every ninety minutes won’t annoy you. Skip it if you expect a fragrance to last through a workday, or if you prefer your sweetness cut with something green or woody. Who is this for, really? Someone who loves fruit punch and doesn’t mind buying a second bottle before the first runs out.
