Our take

Immortal Vanilla Bloom is a sunlit coconut cream that leans into the salt instead of hiding it. The pear adds a juicy lift at the start, but the real weight comes from the coconut and caramel working together. This is not a dark vanilla. It smells like a chilled dessert sitting on a white tablecloth while the light hits the bowl. The white florals stay in the background, giving the blend a soft powder that keeps the gourmand side from feeling heavy. Zara built a scent that feels casual and easy, the kind of thing you reach for when you want to smell clean and sweet at the same time. It is approachable and familiar, never sharp or challenging.

The problem is the vanilla itself. It reads more like a synthetic candy shell than a real bean, and the musk underneath has a flat, laundry-detergent edge that does not suit the natural fruit opening. The caramel also turns a bit plastic once the initial freshness fades, which clashes with the salty coconut that made the first impression so pleasant. For a brand that often nails affordable gourmands, this one feels like it cut the wrong corner. The materials lack depth, so the composition stays on the surface and never develops a true personality. It is pleasant enough to spray, but it does not smell like a finished idea.
