Our take

Lavender sits at the center of Desiree by Oakcha, repeated in the opening and the heart so that its calm, herbal presence never really steps aside. Madagascar vanilla adds a thick, golden sweetness that leans into the flowers rather than floating above them. Orange blossom and jasmine give the blend a bright, slightly indolic white floral character that feels more dressed up than casual.

Black currant and mandarin orange provide a tart, juicy lift at the start, but they fade while the lavender and vanilla keep holding the room. Ambergris and musk bring a faint animalic warmth that keeps the sweetness from feeling flat. Cedar adds a dry, polished wood edge that grounds the softer accords without making the fragrance smell like a forest.

Petitgrain and the citrus notes give the early spray a clean, slightly bitter snap that cuts through the heavy florals. The overall impression is a bouquet of lavender and white petals carried through a sunny market stall where vanilla beans and fresh oranges are piled high in open crates.
