Our take

Muharib opens with a dark, soaked cherry presence built from cherry liqueur and black cherry, rounded out by the dry edge of bitter almond. The almond keeps the fruit from becoming a flat sugar note, adding a faintly savory depth that sits close to the skin. This is not a bright or juicy cherry. It is thick, nearly syrupy, and immediately sets a heavier tone that carries through the rest of the wear.

The heart introduces sour cherry alongside jasmine sambac, plum, and Turkish rose. The plum adds weight while the jasmine and rose provide a soft floral lift that prevents the fruit from feeling too dense. As the fragrance moves forward, the base reveals Peru balsam, vanilla, benzoin, sandalwood, tonka bean, cinnamon, patchouli, vetiver, cloves, and cedar. The cinnamon and cloves bring a warm, aromatic heat that works well against the cooler vetiver and cedar, while the balsam and benzoin create a resinous foundation.

The overall character is sweet, amber-heavy, and balsamic, with a woody backbone that grounds the fruit throughout. It suits a setting where the air feels crisp and the day is slow, pairing well with knits and heavier fabrics. The nutty almond and cherry accords remain visible until the end, supported by the steady vanilla and tonka bean.
