Litchi, of all things, opens this, an unusual fruity note next to peony and amalfi lemon, bright and a little candy-like for the first few minutes. Pink pepper adds spice as rose, jasmine and freesia crowd into the heart, and the florals stay fresh rather than heavy, more garden than bouquet. Freesia in particular adds a clean, green lift alongside the rose and jasmine, giving the heart more than one floral idea to work with.
The main limitation is how quickly the top notes fade: litchi and amalfi lemon are vivid for the first few minutes, but patchouli and vetiver take over fast, so the fruity brightness that opens the fragrance is mostly a memory by the time the base settles in.
Once the base takes hold, patchouli, vetiver and cedar bring it down to earth, dry enough to balance the fruit and flower that came before, with ambrette adding a soft, musky finish. Sillage keeps its reach short, felt more than broadcast, and longevity holds its shape long after application, a dependable everyday performer. Fall and winter lead the season data, though the day and night scores are both strong, so it suits daytime offices as easily as evening plans.
