Eucalyptus and incense open Body Kouros with a cold, medicinal snap, more camphor than cologne at first spray, and that first minute decides a lot of opinions early. It softens fast into Chinese cedar and clary sage, herbal and dry, before benzoin brings in the only real warmth of the composition.
The wider accord list, amber, warm spicy, balsamic, vanilla, stays mostly out of sight until the drydown, when the fragrance turns soft and resinous. Until then it reads aromatic and smoky, sharp enough that a light hand goes further than a heavy one, since extra product mainly adds camphor rather than extra warmth.
It holds firm on the skin, refusing to thin out early, and projection holds to a modest halo, noticeable mainly to whoever stands at arm's reach. Cold weather suits it best, worn on evenings when a camphor-and-incense opening won't feel out of place, and it rewards someone unbothered by an assertive, almost medicinal start.
The eucalyptus fades to memory by the drydown, the incense following soon after, and what's left is smoke curling off a snuffed candle in an unheated room.
