Fragrance notes
Jonah opens with a sharp, cold splash of pink grapefruit and yuzu that immediately meets the bitter green bite of black currant. Orange blossom and neroli soften the edges without removing the sting, so the first impression is bright and a little clinical.
The heart shifts toward dense white florals. Jasmine sambac and champaca sit heavy beside rose and iris, while white lotus adds a watery coolness that keeps the bouquet from feeling entirely dry. Sandalwood and myrrh ground the flowers with a resinous, slightly medicinal wood.
Amber and Cambodian oud dominate the base, supported by labdanum and a noticeable animalic cast from civet and natural musk. The result is a thick, powdery oriental that leans balsamic and sweet rather than fresh or transparent.
The formula contains many expensive materials, yet the blend feels crowded. Too many notes compete at once, so individual accents rarely settle long enough to be appreciated. The composition is heavy and complex, but it lacks the clarity that would make such density feel intentional.
