White suede gives Maitresse its signature texture, a soft leather note that never turns harsh, more like the inside of a glove than a saddle. Agent Provocateur built the whole composition around that same restraint: iris sits close by, powdery and a touch cool, so the leather ends up smelling groomed, not rugged.
Osmanthus threads through the middle, apricot-soft and faintly leathery itself, blurring into the suede until the two are hard to tell apart by the time it settles. The floral heart around it stays soft rather than sweet, and a light aquatic edge in the base gives the whole thing a fresh, daytime-appropriate finish despite the leather underneath.
Staying power lands in the middling zone, easy to forget about once it's on, without much urgency either way. Sillage stays modest, a private cloud that a coworker might catch only up close. Fall and winter are when it performs best, letting the suede and iris feel appropriately weighted for the season, and it works better after dark than in daylight. Maitresse suits someone drawn to leather perfumes who still wants softness, not the tougher, heavier kind you'd find in a biker jacket.
