Our take

The door to the conservatory is open, letting the cool air mix with the warmth of the room. Someone is standing near the stone wall where pink pepper clings to the damp green leaves of potted plants. The spice is bright and immediate, catching in the throat before softening into a thick cluster of jasmine sambac and rose that rests against the dry, upright presence of cedar. The flowers do not float; they sit heavily in the air, lush and slightly sweet, as if the blooms were cut and placed on a wooden table just minutes ago.

Vanilla begins to rise from the floorboards, smooth and creamy, wrapping around the clean, skin-like warmth of musk that settles into the fabric of a sleeve. The rose lingers in the background, its petals crushed slightly against the wood, while the pepper continues to sparkle in small bursts near the open air. Everything feels layered and close, the vanilla pulling the sharper edges of the leaves and the cedar into a soft, rounded shape that keeps shifting between the floral heart and the gentle, sweet base.
