Our take

Jasmine sambac and gorse sit beside tonka bean and oud in a composition that feels dense and slightly opaque. The white floral facet carries a creamy weight, while the okra seed adds a vegetal, slightly slippery texture that does not behave like a typical green note. Vanilla and amber accords wrap the materials in a warm blanket that feels heavy rather than sparkling. This is not a bright or airy floral. It moves through a room like a thick scarf and a wool coat, suited to gray skies and the damp cold that settles into pavement after a storm. The aromatic edge of gorse tries to lift the blend, but the musky base keeps everything anchored to the skin in a deep, resinous cloud.

The drydown leans hard into oud and tonka, creating a sweet, woody musk that lacks transparency. What begins as an interesting mix of floral and vegetable turns into a dense block of scent where individual notes lose their shape. The okra seed disappears completely, and the jasmine sambac gets swallowed by the vanilla and amber. It becomes a bit monotonous, offering little movement once the initial mix settles. The fragrance feels synthetic in its densest moments, and the lack of contrast between the heavy woods and the sweet accords makes it feel clumsy rather than complex.
