The air carries mandarin orange, grapefruit, and bergamot in a bright rush that feels like the peel of the fruit itself. Basil and lemon verbena move through the space with a clean, herbal edge, while neroli and jasmine add a soft white floral layer that never turns heavy. Cyclamen and gardenia round out the heart with a gentle green freshness that stays close to the moment.
Moss and sandalwood ground the scene without darkening it, and vetiver brings a dry, earthy thread that keeps the sweetness of benzoin and vanilla from taking over. Musk sits quietly in the background, letting the aromatic and woody accords lead. The composition feels natural rather than synthetic, more suited to a slow morning outdoors than to a formal evening, and it wears its Sicilian inspiration openly in every note.
The one drawback is the vanilla. It leans a little warm and rounded for such a crisp, herbal citrus, and on skin it can read more like a soft amber than a true vanilla pod.
