Infusion de Santal Chai
Fragrance notes
Character
A quiet kitchen in the early part of the day holds the air still. Someone sets a cup of spiced tea on a wooden table near a window where the light is pale. The first breath carries cardamom and a bright citrus edge that feels like the rind of a fruit just sliced. The spice is gentle, not sharp, and it mixes with the steam rising from the cup.
The tea itself smells of masala chai, warm and layered with crushed spices, and a soft milk note wraps around it. The scent stays close, moving only as far as the space between the person and the cup. There is no reach beyond that. The sandalwood and musk sit low in the blend, giving the milk a dry, wooden floor to rest on.
The room feels cool enough that a sweater is still needed, but the tea brings a small heat that stays near the skin. The fragrance does not ask for attention across the room. It stays near the wrist and the collar, fading before the cup is empty. The spices do not linger long after the last sip.
A hand reaches for the cup again, the wood of the table grain visible under the saucer, the milk in the tea still swirling slightly with the last stir of the spoon.
