Pear and tangerine open juicy, still holding the peel's bitterness, with bergamot keeping things from turning too soft too fast. Orange blossom and two forms of neroli take over quickly, giving the heart a bright, slightly bitter white-floral character, not anything creamy or soft, and the shift from top to heart feels almost seamless.
Jasmine sambac adds warmth to the florals without much sharpness, and by the base bourbon vanilla and benzoin bring in a soft sweetness that white musk keeps from turning heavy. Amber rounds the whole thing into something warm without much weight to it, powdery rather than heavy in feel.
It sticks around for a good while on skin, and the sillage forms a modest cloud that lingers around the wearer without disappearing fast. Spring is its clear high point, though the balance between fruit, floral and musk keeps it wearable across the rest of the calendar too, just less emphatically. The pear keeps resurfacing faintly even late, an odd, welcome echo against all that vanilla and musk, and it is that small detail that keeps the whole thing from smelling like a generic soft floral.
