Our take

There is something beautifully deceptive about this fragrance. It opens with a crisp, almost chilly slap of mint and green coriander, the citrus of bergamot bright enough to cut through a spring morning haze. Chamomile and cardamom soften the edges, so the initial burst never feels aggressive but rather like a freshly crushed herb garden after rain. Then the heart arrives, and the jasmine takes center stage, but not the heavy, narcotic kind. This jasmine is sheer, almost transparent, lifted by orange blossom and lily-of-the-valley into something more like a whispered white floral than a full-throated diva. The base of tea and vetiver dries down to a faint, woody musk, with dried plum adding just a thread of sweetness.

The overall character is a white linen sundress hanging in a sunlit window, still smelling of laundry soap and a single sprig of mint tucked into the hem. It feels natural, neatly composed, and thoroughly mainstream in the best Jo Malone way: pleasant, easy, and utterly non-threatening. But the numbers do not lie. Longevity sits at a frustrating 2.72, sillage at 2.65. By the time you finish your morning coffee, the jasmine is a ghost, and you will be left reapplying before lunch. That makes it a fragrance for the near-skin moments: a breezy brunch, an office where heavy perfumes are frowned upon, a lazy Sunday afternoon in early summer.

Who should wear it? Anyone who loves green florals but finds conventional jasmine too cloying. Who should skip it? The longevity-obsessed, the sillage-seekers, anyone who wants a scent to last through a dinner date. This is a spring and summer day fragrance, strictly daytime, and it knows its limits. But within those limits, it sparkles like a cool glass of mint tea.
