Saffron threads curl through the cool air of a wood-panelled library where embers glow behind a glass screen. Nutmeg and bergamot brighten the entry, a brief flash of light before the room grows heavier. Leather and rose press against the walls, supported by oud and styrax that feel dense and resinous. Amber and cedar wait in the corners, ready to hold the space long after the first spark fades. Incense drifts upward, mingling with patchouli and guaiac wood until the air itself feels coated in a warm, balsamic haze.
The scent occupies the room without shouting, its presence steady enough that no one wonders when it might vanish. Coriander adds a crisp edge to the spices, keeping the warmth from turning sluggish. Smoke and animalic depth give the leather a lived-in character, as if the furniture has absorbed years of evening gatherings. Rose softens the sharper corners, offering a floral counterpoint that never dominates. Each note lingers, weaving together so that the atmosphere feels continuous rather than layered in separate stages.
Olivier Cresp and Hamid Merati-Kashani composed a fragrance that stays close to the body while reaching outward into the surrounding air, carried by wood and resin that refuse to recede. The saffron glows against the darker accords, and the styrax pulls the amber deeper into the grain of the cedar. Patchouli anchors the base, letting the incense curl through the space as the night stretches on and the fire continues to radiate heat into the shadows near the ceiling
