Our take

She is a daylight companion for someone who wants a citrus scent that does not vanish into the air after ten minutes. The opening leans on lemongrass and lemon verbena, bright and green, while beeswax and tonka bean add a soft, honeyed weight. That balance means the scent stays near the body rather than announcing itself across a space, which suits a morning walk or a desk job where you want your own comfort without distracting colleagues. The lemon blossom and white flowers give it a gentle lift that feels appropriate when the sun is up and the day is active.

The heart shifts toward smoke and tea, with milk smoothing the edges so the copal and broom do not turn sharp. This is where the argument holds: the fragrance earns its place by moving from fresh lemon to a warm, resinous middle without losing its clarity. Ambrette and guaiac wood in the base keep the oud and tolu balsam from dominating, so the drydown remains steady on skin through a few hours of wear. It is a patient composition that asks you to lean in and notice the layers.

Christi Meshell composed a scent that rewards close attention, yet the milk and beeswax can read as slightly waxy on fabric. That texture may bother wearers who expect a clean, transparent citrus. The scent is steady and present, but the waxiness is a real limitation for daily use.
