The Calabrian bergamot is present but quickly tempered by the rose, which leans more aromatic than sweet. This initial combination creates a slightly austere impression that does not immediately reveal the richness found deeper in the composition. The saffron in the heart adds a warm, metallic heat that pushes against the Spanish jasmine and geranium. This floral middle is not soft or dewy. It carries a sharp, slightly medicinal quality that keeps the fragrance feeling lean rather than lush. The powdery accord becomes more noticeable here, driven by the orris, which gives the transition a dry, vintage feel that some will find distancing.
The base settles into a dense blend of Assam oud and sandalwood. The oud is woody and resinous without turning aggressively animalic, while the sandalwood smooths the edges with a creamy, pale wood tone.
