Our take

Torre Eiffel asks a lot before it gives anything back. The opening is a sharp, metallic clash of saffron and bergamot that feels abrasive rather than inviting, and the mango here is not a juicy, sunny fruit but a slightly plastic accent that sits uneasily beside the spice. This is not a perfume for someone who wants to walk out the door feeling instantly polished. It demands patience as the harsh top notes slowly give way to a dense heart of Bulgarian rose and oud, supported by a cloud of jasmine and frankincense. The transition is the first reason to commit to it, because once that initial roughness fades, the fragrance settles into a rich, resinous floral that feels substantial and deep.

The argument for wearing it comes down to that heavy, moody drydown. With oakmoss, tonka bean, sugar cane, amber, vanilla, white musk, and sandalwood in the base, it creates a warm, mossy cocoon that fits a dimly lit room, a heavy coat, and a quiet evening where the air feels cool outside. It is a tropical scent stripped of its beachiness and refitted for a city night. The second reason is its sheer density of accords, moving from fresh spicy to warm spicy to metallic without losing its core. The flaw remains that first abrasive phase, which is a genuine hurdle to enjoying the beautiful, complex wood and rose that follow.
