Cassis lends a tart, green edge that keeps the fruit from turning syrupy. Within minutes, the heart softens into a blur of orange blossom, peony, and rose, but these florals never fully bloom; they’re pressed flat by a synthetic musk-ambroxan base that smells like warm laundry on a distant dryer cycle. The drydown is all cedar and a ghost of incense, polite and forgettable.
The overall character is a white floral musk fragranced with the tensile, translucent quality of a plastic shower curtain. It feels fresh and sweet, but in a decidedly mainstream way; there’s nothing natural or nuanced here, just clean abstraction. Longevity is a disappointment at just under three hours, and sillage is barely a whisper after the first twenty minutes. You’ll need to overspray and reapply to get any traction.
