Fragrance notes
A citrus opening hits first, bright and immediate, before the heart reveals saffron and oud. The saffron brings a warm, slightly metallic edge to the resinous wood, and the two sit close together rather than fighting for space. Cedar, patchouli, and guaiac wood form a dry, tannic base that keeps the composition grounded. It feels more niche than mainstream, with a raw woodiness that reads natural rather than polished. The patchouli here is earthy and dark, not sweet, and it anchors the lighter citrus so the fragrance does not float away into something purely refreshing.
Composed by Nouf Al Qahtani and launched in 2019, this is a scent for someone who wants to smell like a cedar chest that was left open in a room where saffron threads were crushed earlier that morning.
