Character
Black spruce and galbanum give Mad Mission a resinous green edge that feels more forest floor than manicured garden. Fig and strawberry sit beside tolu balsam and Peru balsam, so the fruit reads dark and sticky rather than bright. Labdanum and benzoin push the amber accord forward, while champaca and lime blossom add a yellow floral lift that keeps the heavier notes from lying flat. Citruses flash through the balsamic sweetness without sharpening it into something clean. Liz Zorn composed a blend that stays in the amber and woody lanes while letting the fruity and green facets wander across the surface.
The musky base supports the resinous layers without pulling the fragrance into a powdery direction. It feels at home on skin that usually wears niche woods and balsams, and it fits a person who likes a scent that carries a little weight without turning loud. Wear it on a cool evening when a warm amber feels right but a plain vanilla feels too simple.
