The heart unfolds into a sticky, resinous blend of tobacco leaf, cinnamon bark, and crushed dates, a combination that feels less like a kitchen and more like a souk stall where dried fruit and spice sacks mingle with the scent of copper trays. As it settles, the base layers on caramelized vanilla, a dark patchouli hum, and a whisper of oud smoke that never turns ashen or medicinal. The whole composition is unapologetically sweet and warm, leaning into that syrupy Oriental vanilla territory Lattafa does so well. It is undeniably dense and feels more like a crafted dessert than a perfume, a tray of sticky date pastries left to cool on a carved wooden balcony as the evening call to prayer echoes.
