Great Lady
Fragrance notes
Character
Great Lady opens with aldehydes and bergamot. The aldehydes create a bright, slightly sparkling lift that carries the citrus clearly. This opening feels crisp and polished rather than juicy or sweet.
The heart is a dense white floral built around Bulgarian rose, jasmine, tuberose, iris, carnation, and lily-of-the-valley. The rose and jasmine lead, while tuberose adds weight. Iris brings a soft, powdery texture, and carnation introduces gentle spice. Lily-of-the-valley keeps the bouquet fresh.
The base rests on amber, musk, sandalwood, patchouli, oakmoss, and civet. Sandalwood and amber give warmth, musk and civet add an animalic depth, and oakmoss with patchouli contribute an earthy, woody foundation. The powdery accord from the heart continues here.
The composition is rich, formal, and heavily floral with a pronounced animalic edge. It is a dense, traditional scent that stays close to its floral and powdery core throughout. The heavy use of civet and oakmoss makes it feel dated to modern noses, and the sharp aldehydes can be overwhelming.
