Within minutes, the heart turns unexpectedly tender: violet petals dusted with immortelle’s syrupy hay note, fern adding a green, aromatic breath. This is no loud fougere. The drydown settles into a subdued leather softened by vetiver’s earth and patchouli’s cocoa-like fuzz, whole thing wearing like a faded leather journal stuffed with dried violets.
It leans synthetic in the violet immortelle accord, in the way of a mass-market designer, but not cheaply so. The real letdown is performance. Longevity limps past two hours, sillage barely whispers past an arm’s length. For a fragrance named Beyond Forever, it fades fast.
That said, the composition is pleasant and unassuming. It suits a man who wants a warm, slightly powdery scent for a daytime coffee run or a casual office, especially in spring or fall.
