Our take

Glamour opens with a noticeable flaw that defines its character. The jasmine and rose in the top notes lean heavily on a synthetic edge that feels sharp rather than fresh. This artificial quality carries into the heart, where vanilla and oud attempt to add depth but instead clash with the piercing florals. The vanilla here is sweet and candy-like, lacking the rich comfort found in natural extractions. As the oud settles, it provides a dark, medicinal contrast that does not quite blend with the powdery white flowers. The result is a fragrance that feels disjointed in its construction, moving between a harsh floral ceiling and a heavy, resinous floor without finding a middle ground that feels cohesive or natural.

The base continues this synthetic trajectory with vanilla, musk, and sandalwood. The sandalwood lacks the creamy texture expected from the note, presenting instead as a dry, dusty backdrop that fails to soften the sharper elements. The musk adds a clean, almost soapy layer that fights against the heavy balsamic and warm spicy accords. While the powdery nature is distinct, it often reads as flat rather than luxurious. The overall composition feels like a collection of distinct notes that were placed together without a unified vision, leaving the wearer with a scent that is busy and occasionally abrasive rather than smooth.
