Character
Bergamot arrives bright and sharp, joined quickly by the clean bite of juniper. The citrus feels cool rather than sweet, more like a breeze through a stone courtyard than a glass of juice. Rose enters soon after, soft but not powdery, resting on a sandalwood that smells dry and polished. The floral heart stays restrained, never tipping into a heavy bouquet.
Birch brings a crisp edge that leans toward leather without becoming a leather scent. Labdanum adds a warm, amber weight that grounds the wood. Dry wood sits underneath it all, giving the base a quiet, dusty texture. The smoke in the accords feels like a faint wisp, not a heavy cloud, curling through the resin and bark.
The overall impression is of a garden built from stone paths and trimmed hedges, the air cool against the skin. The composition feels more at home in a tailored coat than in casual linen. The one drawback is that the rose can read a bit synthetic against the natural wood, creating a small disconnect in the heart.
