Character
The kitchen is warm from the stove, and a bowl of toasted fenugreek sits next to a cracked pepper mill and a handful of bay leaves. Jasmynal II begins in that corner, sharp and savory, before the air turns creamy. Barley and jasmine sambac rise together, the grain giving the white petals a soft, milky texture while cocoa and tonka bean add a dusty sweetness. A curl of tobacco smoke drifts through the room, dry and faintly bitter, keeping the florals from feeling like a neat bouquet.
Sandalwood and Cambodian oud ground the scene, their polished wood scent mixing with the heavy, animalic pull of castoreum and natural musk. Vanilla smooths the edges but does not hide the rawness underneath. The fragrance feels dense and unapologetic, more suited to a quiet evening indoors than a bright morning walk. It carries a distinct medicinal sharpness in the opening that some will find off-putting.
That initial bite of fenugreek and pepper can feel harsh and unbalanced against the soft jasmine. The spice is loud where the flowers are delicate, creating a jarring first impression that never quite settles into a seamless blend.
