Our take

Rallying raspberry and red berries over a floral heart sounds cheerful until the base lands. Rose, violet and iris sit politely beside labdanum before the heavier materials arrive. Oud, benzoin, cotton candy, patchouli, musk and amber turn the direction dark and thick. The opening fruit is real, but it disappears fast under a dense, resinous blanket.

That blanket feels like a heavy coat in cool air, when the sky is gray and the pavement is damp. Sweet accords and warm spicy facets wrap around you while amber and musk hold the center. It is a fragrance for slow walks and quiet streets, not for bright sun or lightweight layers. The mood is intimate and slightly old fashioned.

Powdery violet and rose keep the florals from feeling modern, while the cotton candy note pushes the sweetness into candy territory. The oud here is smooth rather than medicinal, which helps the composition stay approachable. Regalien clearly wanted something lush and textured, created with MG Gulcicek and Firmenich in 2019. The materials feel rich, though the balance leans heavily toward sugar.

Kashmeran is generous with its gourmand side, but the candy tone eventually becomes too much. The fruit fades, the florals retreat, and the sugar remains dominant. Anyone who dislikes obvious sweetness will find it exhausting after a short while. It is a lush experience with a clear ceiling.
