Our take

Lacrima opens with fig leaf and cassis placed next to myrrh. The fruit is present from the first moment, yet the resin pulls it toward something darker. This is not a bright or sunny start. The cassis carries a slight tart edge that keeps the sweetness from becoming flat. Fig leaf adds a green touch that feels crisp against the heavier myrrh. The opening feels busy but controlled, with each note staying distinct instead of blending into a single wash of scent.

The heart introduces fig wood bark and incense. The bark note brings a dry, fibrous texture that feels natural and slightly rough. Incense floats above it with a steady, warm presence. The fruit from the opening steps back, though it does not disappear entirely. The composition sits in a space that is both woody and balsamic, with the smoke from the accord adding a thin layer of depth. It suits a cool morning walk or a quiet room with the windows closed against the cold. The mood is reflective and calm, matching a day that asks for less noise.

The drydown settles on musk and cedar. The musk is soft and clean, while the cedar provides a dry wood foundation that lasts until the end. The sweetness from the opening remains, but it is now surrounded by resin and wood. The blend feels cohesive and well constructed. The one limitation is that the fig notes eventually start to dominate the base, making the cedar and musk feel secondary. The wood never fully asserts itself the way the fig does.
