Our take

Monaco is a fragrance for people who want their citrus to carry weight. The opening pairs raspberry and chamomile with bright citruses, but this is not a light spritz meant for a quick refresh. The fruit here feels deliberate, supported immediately by a resinous heart of patchouli and frankincense. That combination pushes the scent into a deeper register where the initial brightness serves a richer composition rather than standing alone.

The base confirms the argument. Musk and amber wrap around walnut to create a woody, nutty foundation that feels substantial on the skin. This is where the herbal and fresh spicy facets from the chamomile and frankincense settle into the warmth of the amber. It suits cooler days when you want a fruity entry that does not abandon its earthy roots halfway through the experience.

Composed by Khaled Alenezi and launched in 2019, this Rasht Otr release asks for patience as the raspberry gives way to a resinous, nutty cloud that smells like walking through a wood-paneled library where someone just peeled a fresh piece of walnut and set a bowl of citrus nearby.
