Nefertiti
Fragrance notes
Character
Nefertiti greets you with a cool, crushed orchid leaf that feels more garden than greenhouse, quickly joined by a resinous cannabis note that smells like fresh stems rather than smoke. The heart deepens into a golden, slightly medicinal jasmine threaded with immortelle, while honey adds a thick, sunlit sweetness that never becomes cloying. Incense curls through the center, pulling the white florals toward something darker and more spiritual.
Shawn Maher composed this 2020 release for Maher Olfactive. The base rests on a dry vetiver and a smooth oud that feels polished rather than barnyard, all wrapped in a clean musk that keeps the heavier notes from feeling oppressive. It suits someone who enjoys floral perfumes with a rugged, herbal edge and wants a scent that feels both ancient and modern.
Wear this when the air is crisp enough to see your breath and you are walking alone past old stone buildings with a lit cigarette in your hand. Nefertiti smells like the ash that falls from that cigarette onto a silk scarf that has been steeped in jasmine tea and honey.
