Saffron threads curl beside them, releasing a golden, metallic heat that mingles with the fresh cut of rose petals. The air feels rich before the first sip is taken, a bright and fruity opening that catches the light in the room.

The atmosphere shifts as the leather settles in. It is a smooth, polished hide that wraps around the oud, which smells of ancient trees and dry resin. Guaiac wood adds a stern, charcoal-like backbone to the mix. The fruit does not vanish, but it grows darker, folding into the animalic warmth of the heart. It is a dense, woody texture that feels heavy on the skin.

Myrrh and amber take over the final act. The resin is thick and medicinal, sticking to the air with a sweet, balsamic weight. The smoky accord rises here, dry and persistent, turning the sweetness into something that feels shadowed rather than bright. The composition becomes a deep golden haze, rich with spice and wood, leaving the fresh top notes far behind.

The raspberry remains a problem throughout the wear. It refuses to fully integrate into the serious woods and leather, sometimes reading as a candied syrup that clashes with the dry myrrh. The sweetness can feel artificial against the natural resin, creating a jarring contrast that pulls the entire mood toward a synthetic edge.
