Oud & Cranberry opens with a powdery tilt that will put off anyone who expects a crisp, juicy fruit scent. The violet and iris arrive early, coating the raspberry and apple in a soft dust that reads more like a vintage cosmetic than a fresh harvest. That cosmetic lean is the price of admission here, and it shapes everything that follows.
The cranberry in the heart tries to cut through that powder, but the jasmine and rose pull the blend toward a traditional white floral bouquet rather than a tart modern fruit. Cypress and pine in the base give the drydown a green, resinous edge that keeps the amber from turning heavy. Picture a bright garden path in warm air, where fallen needles mix with blooming flowers and a handful of tart berries. The result feels outdoorsy and polished at once, suited to someone who wants a fruity fragrance with forest floor depth rather than candy sweetness.
The limitation is that the powder never fully recedes, so the cranberry never tastes quite fresh. If you dislike iris and violet in strong doses, this remains a difficult wear no matter how much you enjoy woody amber.
