Sunlit Citadels
Fragrance notes
Character
The terrace overlooks a white stone courtyard where the morning heat has not yet settled. Calabrian mandarin and Sicilian lemon press their juice into the air, bright and immediate, while bergamot smooths the sharp edges into something polished. It feels like standing near a tree that was just peeled open, the rind still warm from the sun.
Neroli and jasmine sambac drift upward as the fig leaf unfurls beside them. The greenness is damp and broad, a shade that cools the citrus without dimming it. White musk sits low against the stone, while patchouli and vetiver ground the scene with a clean earthiness. A pinch of cloves adds a quiet spice that lingers near the wrist.
The composition stays close to the skin, which suits a setting built for calm movement rather than grand entrances. It feels modern and transparent, more suited to someone who wants a fragrance that lives inside the day instead of announcing it. The materials read as synthetic in places, especially the musk, which lacks the soft texture of a natural extract.
That artificial sheen is the limitation here. The citrus sparkles, but the base never quite convinces the nose that it grew from the same garden.
