Fragrance notes
Character
Lavender rises first, cool and slightly medicinal, cutting through the thick air of a room lit only by streetlamps outside the window. It is not the soft lavender of a linen spray. It feels sharp, like a breeze through an open door during a cold night. The clary sage sits beside it, adding a damp, earthy greenness that prevents the opening from feeling too clean.
Bitter almond brings a dark, cherry-like edge to the center, twisting the vanilla into something less like a dessert and more like an old apron dusted with sugar. Leather appears here, heavy and worn, smelling of cracked chairs in a library that has stood for decades. The iris adds a fine, cosmetic powder that settles on the skin, blurring the line between the sharp herbs and the heavy base.
Blonde woods and cashmeran create a soft, synthetic fur texture in the drydown, wrapping the amber in a blanket that feels warm against the skin. The sweetness is present but it is buried under the aromatic herbs and the dry leather. It is a scent for standing on a porch while the wind picks up, watching the clouds gather, hands tucked into coat pockets, surrounded by the smell of rain hitting dry pavement and old wood.
