Tuscan Leather
Fragrance notes
Character
Tuscan Leather starts strange, and that is the appeal. Raspberry lands first, tart and sharp, before saffron and thyme cut in with a rough, spiced edge instead of straightforward fruit. Smoky, animalic touches show up almost immediately, and by the time olibanum and jasmine settle in, the fruit has mostly burned off. This wants cold air and long evenings, the kind where a coat is already on and your breath shows, not a bright spring afternoon.
The jasmine deserves more credit than it usually gets here; it gives the whole thing a slightly waxy, indolic lift right where the raspberry fades out, an unexpected softness inside an otherwise masculine leather structure. It is not a fragrance that eases you in gently, and the opening stretch can feel almost abrasive before things settle down.
Once the base takes over, leather and suede move to the front, thickened by amber and woody notes that give the whole thing real density.
It sticks around once it lands, staying noticed within arm's reach without spreading much further, present but not loud. The opening minutes ask for some patience if your nose is used to gentler things. By the time it fades, only the suede is left, worn soft like a jacket pulled on for years.
