Our take

Walk On Air is a spring morning that forgets to linger. It opens with a bright spritz of lime and neroli, green fern and a hint of bitter bergamot, all lifted by the almost aquatic whisper of Solomon’s seal. That initial freshness is lovely, clean without being soapy, like dewy petals brushed against your wrist on a cool April walk. The heart blooms into a proper white floral bouquet: lily of the valley and magnolia take the lead, soft jasmine and narcissus adding a faint honeyed warmth. This is the fragrance’s best moment, airy and innocent, before the base tucks everything into a bed of violet leaf and powdery white iris.

The image that sticks is a single gardenia floating in a crystal bowl of ice water. It smells natural, delicately sweet, and entirely feminine, but it never pushes beyond a polite whisper. That’s the trouble: with sillage barely over 2.5 and longevity hovering below three hours, Walk On Air evaporates nearly as soon as it appears. You’ll be lucky to catch a wisp after lunch. It works beautifully for a breezy daytime brunch or a desk job where you don’t want to announce yourself, and it’s perfect for spring and summer warmth. But if you crave projection or an all day companion, skip this one. It’s a fleeting pleasure, lovely while it lasts, but gone before you’ve truly enjoyed it.
