Sensuous
Fragrance notes
Character
Honey and amber give Sensuous its warmth, though the opening is all white flowers, lily and jasmine layered with magnolia in a way that feels almost overripe before the drydown settles it down. Woodsy notes and ylang-ylang carry the middle, dense and a little heady, and sandalwood arrives late with white honey and a touch of pepper that gives the sweetness a spicier, drier edge.
Mandarin orange threads through the base as a small, bright counterpoint to all that amber and honey, and powdery spice runs through the composition, adding texture where a simpler amber would sit flat. The mood here suits low light and a slower pace better than a bright morning, an evening spent at home more than an errand run.
How long it lasts sits right in the middle of the range, easy to live with and never urgent to renew. What it projects is a close, warm presence, noticed on a shared armrest or in quiet conversation. This will read as heavy to anyone sensitive to amber at any strength, but for someone after a warm floral with real body, the honey and sandalwood pairing does the work other orientals often overdo.
