Pine Forest is a walk through damp ground where resin sticks to your boots. The opening hits with pine tree and balsam fir, sharpened by black pepper that bites the air. It smells like crushed needles underfoot, not a cleaned-up version of the woods. This is composed by Hans Georg Staudt for people who want the forest itself, not a memory of it.
Frankincense and myrrh enter with juniper and cloves, turning the air thick and warm. Peru balsam and gurjan balsam add a sticky weight that pulls the green brightness down into something earthy. Carrot seeds and oregano sound strange, but they keep the resin from becoming a flat wall of sweetness. The heart feels like standing still while the cold air moves around you.
Oakmoss and galbanum anchor the base with a dry, green shadow. Labdanum and styrax bring a deep amber that feels heavy on the skin, while white musk softens the edges just enough. Sage cuts through the richness so the pine never fully disappears. The result is a conifer that grows darker and more grounded as it sits.
