Tabac
Fragrance notes
Character
Tobacco leaf opens this scent with a dry, crumbled texture that feels pulled from a humidor rather than a candy jar. The leaf note stays present as the heart builds, where a thick Madagascar vanilla wraps around the tobacco and a Turkish rose adds a faint, powdery floral lift. Beneath them, ambergris and oud give the blend a deep, animalic weight, while cedar grounds the base with a clean, dry wood. The vanilla here is rich and dark, never turning bright or sugary, and the tobacco carries a natural roughness that keeps the sweetness from feeling polished.
The scent feels at home in a dim room with a heavy wool coat still damp from the cold air outside, or on a walk where the ground is covered in wet leaves and the wind has a bite. It sits close enough to be noticed when someone steps near you, and the composition holds its shape for a very long time once it settles on the skin. The tobacco and amber accords create a warm, balsamic trail that lingers on fabric and jacket collars long after the day begins.
The one real drawback is the oud. It carries a sharp, medicinal edge that clashes with the soft vanilla for the first hour, making the opening feel unbalanced and slightly aggressive. That rough start will put off anyone who prefers a smooth, seamless wear from the first spray.
