Our take

A bench sits under a pergola where new leaves filter the morning sun. Ivy climbs the wood, its crisp green scent cutting through the still air with a sharp, watery bite. That initial snap does not linger. The flowers take over quickly. Tuberose and magnolia swell into a thick, creamy white mass, but the iris pulls them back toward something dry and cool. It presses the petals into a fine, chalky dust that settles on the skin. You smell the pollen and the stem together, a garden that feels deliberately arranged rather than wildly growing.

As the hours pass, the floral volume dips and the ground appears. Patchouli brings a damp, dark soil scent that anchors the powdery iris without turning heavy. Sandalwood adds a smooth, pale wood texture, while the musk wraps the whole composition in a soft, clean haze. The scent stays near the body, moving with you rather than announcing your arrival from a distance. It requires a certain tolerance for the synthetic edge in the magnolia, which can feel a bit plastic against the natural green opening. The drydown offers a lovely, muted earthiness, but the artificial sharpness in the heart notes prevents the transition from feeling completely seamless.
