Rich Leather 2019
Fragrance notes
Character
A spritz of Rich Leather 2019 opens with a pink pepper so fine it nearly tingles, and then the pineapple hits like a cold slice of fruit on a hot afternoon, juicy and unexpectedly tropical. This is not a brooding leather, not at first. The sweetness is upfront, almost playful, before a soft, mossy leather starts to crawl in from the edges, damp and animalic in the way old bark smells after rain. The whole thing feels like a leather jacket left on a picnic blanket under a mango tree, still warm from the sun, with grass stains on the collar.
It is clearly a Zara fragrance, meaning it leans synthetic in a cheerful, unpretentious way, more mainstream-friendly than niche, and it wears like a casual Saturday rather than a black-tie affair. The numbers don’t lie: longevity barely scrapes two hours, and sillage is a polite whisper rather than a shout. You will need to reapply if you want it to last through lunch. But for the price, the opening is genuinely charming, a bright, fruity leather that works best in spring and summer daylight, on someone who likes their animalic notes tempered with sweetness. Skip it if you demand thickness or beast mode projection. Wear it to the farmer’s market, a daytime date, or anyplace where you want a quick, cheerful hit of leather without committing to a full suit of armor.
