Our take

You spray Regal White and get slapped by a sanitized coconut water, all mineral and clinical, like the ghost of a piña colada that never had any rum. Then a green fig tries to push through, but it’s quickly smothered by a chestnut note that smells less like roasted goodness and more like the dusty cardboard box those chestnuts came in. The ambroxan is there, of course, a fuzzy, synthetic warmth that wraps everything in a dull amber haze, while the vetiver barely registers, a faint earthy whisper lost under the pile of musky, nutty sweetness. The overall character is a bank lobby trying to pass for a tropical resort: clean, safe, noncommittal. It wears like a thin cotton shirt that wrinkles before you leave the house.

With a longevity just over three hours and sillage that hovers around your collar like a guilty thought, this fragrance is a polite acquaintance, not a lover. It suits someone who wants to smell vaguely pleasant at the office without offending anyone, or a spring day where the sun is out but the conversation is flat. The crowd that voted it 83% fall-compatible must have been napping through that drydown. Coconut water and chestnut together can feel cloying when the air turns crisp. Best reserved for late mornings when you need a quick spritz before running errands, but don’t expect it to last through lunch. Nathalie Lorson gave it competence without charisma.
