La Belle
Fragrance notes
Character
Pear and leather is an odd pairing to build a fragrance around, and La Belle leans into it anyway: a juicy, sweet top note sitting directly against something darker and slightly rough in the heart. Bergamot brightens the opening briefly, but the leather note is doing most of the interesting work, giving the fruit somewhere unexpected to land.
The heart's floral notes stay deliberately vague, more a soft floral wash than any single recognizable flower, which lets the leather keep its rough edge. Vanilla, vetiver and amber move the base into warmer, sweeter territory, with musk tying the fruit and the leather together into something that leans more gourmand than the leather alone would suggest. It endures well once applied, and the sillage stays a soft cloud that lingers just past the skin.
Fall and winter are where it comes into its own, best worn after dark when the vanilla and amber have room to feel cozy rather than sticky. The result stays sweet with real grit underneath, a gourmand pulled off its usual path by that early leather note.
